What do we do?

The conference and events team offer a complete range of event management services, from creative concept through to event planning, logistics and on-the-day coordination. Our dedicated team will work closely with you to develop the best possible event solution. 1825 is known for providing exceptional hospitality experiences through the constant delivery of fresh ideas, attention to detail, passion and innovation.

1825’s aim is to help produce a memorable event that provides a truly unique experience that will excite and entertain you and your guests. Recent growth in the business allows 1825 to continue to exceed expectations with the food, people, style and service with absolutely no compromise on quality.

To consistently deliver this high quality, our events team and chef work collaboratively with local suppliers to offer the very best in fresh produce and products in order to care for their clients and nurture their events.

Our efforts are rewarded by the level of repeat business we receive from conference organisers, many of whom fall in love with The Dylan Thomas Centre – it has an indefinable something – and is grateful to know that any revenue they invest in conferencing helps to maintain this iconic building which is a cultural treasure for Wales.

The location, set within the maritime quarter of Swansea’s SA1 area – incorporating Grade 2 Listed status – enables 1825 to secure interesting conferences from distinguished guests such as the Irish President, as well as Governmental Parties, including Welsh Women’s Labour Party and the Welsh Lib Dems. We have also been honoured to host a prestigious seven-course banquet for Chinese guests of the Vice Chancellor. Medical conferences are healthy in number, with a variety of different health departments within the Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board (ABMU) returning customers.
