The Dylan Thomas Centre is a multi-purpose venue open to host a range of events and functions.

The Centre can accommodate smaller business meetings for up to 30 attendees in dedicated meeting rooms, such as the Carter Room, as well as breakout sessions in open-space environments such as the characterful and charming Vivian Hall, capable of accommodating up to 200 guests, along with its Mezzanine.

Recent investment include a management system for online bookings and event management, state of the art audio-visual equipment with high quality upgraded interiors. Businesses can also take advantage of dedicated web conferencing facilities and its high-speed internet connection essential in today’s high paced global marketplace.

The Centre also boasts a spacious theatre that can seat 110 people, including spaces for disabled guests.

The location, set within the maritime quarter of Swansea’s SA1 area – incorporating Grade 2 Listed status – enables 1825 to secure interesting conferences from distinguished guests such as the Irish President, as well as Governmental Parties, including Welsh Women’s Labour Party and the Welsh Lib Dems. We have also been honoured to host a prestigious seven-course banquet for Chinese guests of the Vice Chancellor. Medical conferences are healthy in number, with a variety of different health departments within the Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board (ABMU) returning customers.

Where are we?

The Centre is located across the bridge from the exciting SA1 Swansea Waterfront development and access to the beautiful coastline path.  Swansea City centre and its bus and train station is within walking with the M4 motorway approximately four miles to the south of junction 45.  For delegates attending the Centre wishing to stay overnight, there are a variety of hotels nearby including Morgans Hotel, Premier Inn and the Swansea Marriott.
